Flying Sydney's Idyllic Northern Beaches

The Sydney Paragliding & Hang Gliding Club members fly and manage some of the most scenic and easily accessible coastal flying sites in Australia - along the beautiful Northern Beaches of Sydney.

Come to one of our meetings to meet other local pilots and learn more about 'free flying'. We meet at the Harbord Bowling club or other nominated venue (see events) on the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm, where we discuss the latest learnings, developments and equipment in 'free flying'.

Explore the following pages to find out how to learn to free fly, improve your flying or meet like-minded pilots.

New and Visiting Pilots – We want you to fly safely and enjoy our sites. We would like to encourage you to join the club as a Full member of the club before flying. Please click on the Membership tab  to join as a full member.  Full membership is only $21.50 a year and it comes with a whole bunch of benefits!  If you prefer to simply be on our mailing list and stay in contact with our activities, then join as an Associate Visiting Pilot.  Membership is immediate on joining the group so do this on the hill or at home before you travel.

First time flying at a site?  If you are intending to fly one of our sites for the first time, please contact a safety officer. The club has many safety officers and you will often find one on the hill or in the air. New and visiting pilots must contact a member of the club and become familiar with the rules before flying sites.
